The first time my mind was opened to the concept of mooncycles was when learning about Bio-dynamic farming. As Wikipedia describes way better than I do: “This is a method of organic farming that emphasizes the holistic development and interrelationships of the soil, plants and animals as a self-sustaining system. The approach considers that there are lunar and astrological influences on soil and plant development, for example, choosing to plant, cultivate or harvest various crops based on both the phase of the moon and the zodiacal constellation the moon is passing through.”
Since this first lesson on how the moon affects planet earth and everything on it, I have learned about how the moon affects menstrual cycles, how women can synchronize their period with the moon cycle and how our moods are affected by the phase of the moon. This moonchart is a good start to keep track of menstrual-cycle/moon-cycle/moods.
A few days ago I was doing a bit of research on this moon cycle theme in relation to menstrual cycles and stumbled across a very interesting bit of info I would like to share: A moon diet!!!
A moon diet… What’s That? Have a read here!
But if you don’t feel like it, here’s a few words on it:
Tomorrow, saturday, may 25th 2013 at 6:25am we have a super full moon in the Dutch timezone. This happens when the moon’s closest approach to the Earth coincides with the phase of full moon. When this happens the moon may seem bigger and brighter.
According to the website I just referred to, the new moon aswell as the full moon phase are the best 24-hour time period to be doing a juice fast. The energy of the moon in these moments aids the detoxification and excess liquid elimination process.
Obviously I HAVE to try this and so from 6:25am tomorrow morning until I get up on sunday I will be juicing and drinking water. That’s all. Will keep you posted about the experience!
Wishing you all an amazing day with lots of laughs.
