downtown San Francisco

downtown San Francisco
where homeless crowd the streets
where urine-soaked concrete scents the air
where the post office is hidden in the basement of a department store,
around a corner and behind the escalators
where buying 50 envelops is cheaper than buying 1
where people eat and drink out of paper or plastic
where I-phones are glued to hands and ears
where one moment I need sunscreen and next a windbreaker and a beanie
Downtown San Francisco
where dAni will not linger any longer
